Winkworth plc is an international estate agent listed on the AIM London Stock Exchange handling residential sales, lettings and property management. The company operates from a mainly franchise network of over 90 offices in the United Kingdom, Portugal and Spain, as well as an International team with associates in France, Portugal, Italy and Switzerland. The company also offers additional services such as a China Desk, Marketing team and Country House department, all of which operate from its head office in Mayfair. == History == Winkworth was founded in 1835 by brothers Henry St John and Edward Henry Thomas Winkworth. The original Head Office was located in Curzon Street, Mayfair—with a country office in Brighton. Originally, the main business involved selling residential property to an exclusive client list and letting houses in Mayfair to the landed gentry for "the season". In 1981 Winkworth became a franchise estate agency—the first in the UK, under the helm of Simon Agace, who was the company’s main director. In 2012, the company refreshed its brand with new look interiors and a campaign centred on the company strapline ‘See Things Differently This campaign has included branded black taxis around the capital as well as advertising with bespoke artwork from illustrators such as Noma Bar, Olympia and Shout. The company today is worth a net amount of £45.8 million with a gross income of around £10 million a year.
